iOS and Android
Every major operator publishes an app on both iOS and Android. The iOS app is distributed through the App Store; the Android app is distributed through the Play Store for most operators, with an APK download option for operators that have not published a Play Store app.

The mobile app uses slightly more battery than the desktop site because of the screen-on time and the network polling. Battery usage is similar to other real-time apps. The app supports both Wi-Fi and mobile data; the in-session UX is optimised for low-latency networks.
The app publishes its data usage in the App Store and Play Store listings. A typical 30-minute session uses 30–50 MB of data.
Download integrity
The desk recommends verifying the download integrity before installing. For App Store apps, verify the developer name matches the operator's published developer name. For Play Store apps, verify the developer name and the install count. For APK downloads, verify the SHA-256 hash against the operator's published hash.
The APK integrity check is the most important step for operators that distribute outside the Play Store. A mismatched hash is a sign that the APK has been tampered with; do not install it.
