How the corrections process works
The desk commits to a 7-day correction turnaround for verified disputes and a 30-day re-review for material operator changes. The corrections process has three steps:
- Submission. Reader submits a correction through the corrections form or by email.
- Verification. The desk verifies the correction against primary sources.
- Publication. The correction is published on the corrections page with date, affected page, and rubric impact.
What counts as a correction
A correction is any factual error in a published page, any change to the rubric data that affects a platform score, any update to a state matrix entry, or any clarification that materially changes the reader's understanding of a topic. Spelling and grammar fixes are tracked separately and are not included in the corrections log.

Use the form below or email the desk directly. Please include:
- The page URL and the section being corrected
- The current text and the proposed correction
- The primary source for the correction
- Your name and email (anonymous corrections are accepted but verified ones are weighted higher)
Corrections questions, answered
How long does verification take?
Most corrections are verified within 7 days. Material changes that affect the rubric take up to 30 days.
Can I submit anonymously?
Yes. Anonymous corrections are accepted. Corrections with verifiable primary sources are weighted higher.
Will my correction be attributed?
Only if you request attribution. The corrections page lists the date and the rubric impact; attribution is added on request.
What if the operator disputes my correction?
The desk re-checks the correction against primary sources and publishes the result. The operator's response is published alongside the correction when relevant.
Are corrections ever removed?
No. Corrections are part of the publication record. Even superseded corrections remain in the log for transparency.
